Are Your Infomericals Product Submissions Worthy? |

Before you take the leap into direct response television advertising you have to ask yourself if the product you have created is worthy of people’s money. This seems like such a juvenile idea but time and time again we see infomericals product submissions on TV that are too ridiculous to seem real. Before taking the step into the public eye, I suggest offering your product to at least 50-100 people around your area along with a survey that asks them what they think and how much they would be willing to pay for it.
Try not to survey many people you know because there will be an adherent bias. Choose strangers in the selected product demographic who have no idea who you are. Tell the participants that you are not the creator and just the messenger to help stimulate true opinions. Successful direct response television advertising needs to start before a commercial is filmed. It is not worth the financial risk if the product is not worthy of buyer attention. The next step is learning how to write an infomercial.
