I have written many posts about the basics of how to write an infomercial. Now I thought it was time to get more specific. As a little recap, direct response television advertising script writing must be concise, easy to understand, clear and focus on features and benefits that can’t be found anywhere else. With that in mind, I will give you an example of how to write and infomercial for a fictional all-in-one cleaning agent. Here we go:
- (Opener) Are you tired of battling dirt, dust and grime while at home? There is an easier solution then buying a shopping cart full of different cleaning agents to get the job done. I am proud to present to you a revolutionary product called Grime-be-Gone. Grime-be-Gone works on multiple levels to fight tough to beat grime and dirt scum so you don’t have to. It will only take two easy minutes after putting the solution over the dirty area before Grime-be-Gone has effectively loosened the grime particles so you can wipe them away clean in one easy motion.
Obviously, this is just the start of a direct response television advertising script but you get the idea.
