I see a bright outlook for the future of infomercials. Why you ask? Because direct response television advertising is economical, informative and plays on the viewer's emotions to buy now before the product is sold out. Many people feel direct response television advertising is nothing more than cheap products being sold to the gullible and there is some truth to this, especially the infomercials shown late at night but the producers of direct response television advertising have realized the future of infomercials depends on triggering a response from the viewer and this is now being accomplished by using TV and movie stars like Chuck Norris who promotes the Total Gym exercise equipment and Lindsay Wagner touting the benefits of a Sleep Comfort mattress. Robert Wagner and Tom Bosley also use their name and face recognition for direct response television advertising and people trust their opinions and testimonials about how the products will improve your life. As for me, I am a skeptic about 90% of the infomercials and all the claims the product will transform your life but there are a few good infomercials and this is why I feel the future of infomercials is bright.
